Pyramid Hotel Group “Pyramid” is a privately-owned Boston-based hotel and resort management company with a portfolio of properties in the United States, Caribbean and Europe. Pyramid is a full-service management company and provides a wide range of services including hotel management, asset management, project management, lender/receivership services, and consulting services. The company currently operates over 80 hotels, across all major brands, on behalf of numerous institutional capital groups and continues to pursue growth opportunities across all U.S. markets and abroad.


Due to recent growth, we are seeking to add a full-time Business Analytics Analyst to our corporate team.


Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations Finance & Analytics, the Business Analytics Analyst will collaborate with both corporate level personnel and hotel operators.  The position will focus on providing support to the regional operations teams by building and updating reporting tools that can be used to communicate with key stakeholders. 


Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Analyze financial data and create financial tools and reports for decision support
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Guide cost analysis process by enforcing policies and procedures
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports and tools
  • Work closely with property and regional staff to focus efforts on achieving improvements identified with our various analytical tools
  • Complete assigned special projects as needed by stakeholders
  • Assist in the administrative efforts to keep various management tools working as desired


The ideal Business Analytics Analyst candidate will bring the following required, desired and optional assets to the company:

  • Established proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with specific emphasis in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Detail orientated with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and achieve set goals; Operates efficiently in a work environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well and get along with others and in Teams
  • Ability to travel
  • Interest in Real Estate and Hospitality required
  • Undergraduate degree required with preferred course study/curriculum focused in finance, accounting, economics, hospitality or business. Exposure to the hospitality industry is a plus
  • Research and analytical experience preferred, especially in hospitality business development and/or real estate investments; basic financial modeling understanding a plus
  • Possesses strong organizational and project management skills, is multi-task oriented, and has a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering on goals


The Business Analytics Analyst may from time to time be asked to perform other detailed functions that have not been addressed here that are reasonable and within the scope of his/her job
