    Description

    This person is a very important vacancy in our hotel and reports to the Front Office Manager.

     

     

    Bellman

     

    • Applicant must have at least 3 years experience in a similar position; this is an asset but not mandatory
    • Applicant must have good communication skills and an outgoing personality.
    • Must possess strong knowledge of Grand Cayman.
    • The ability to lift heavy objects is a must.
    • Must be friendly and courteous
    • Must possess the aptitude to learn and upsell all other hotel products to our guest
    • Opening the door of the car for the guest in a professional manner at the main entrance of the hotel and assisting to unload the luggage if any.
    • Extend warm welcome and appreciation to every guest / patron and any customer approaching by greeting
    • Having wealth of knowledge in relating to hotel products, events and promotion, playing the role of salesmanship by doing their effort to sell the hotel at each customer contact, to maximize the hotel revenue.
    • Being responsible for the cleanliness of the counter and the surrounding environment.
    • Distributing the newspaper to long staying guest and departments concerned
    • Maintain professional image while on duty with well grooming hygiene and prescribed uniform.
    • Perform other duties being assigned by the Bell Captain, Assistant Manager, Front Office Manager or other concerned hotel officers.

    Requirements

    Pay rate is $4.50 per hour plus a share of the gratuity pool

     

     

    This position requires working a flexible schedule of day and/or evening shifts including weekends and public holidays and is also on call from time-to-time. The applicant must meet the minimum requirements and must be able to speak, read, write and understand English, which is the primary language in the workplace.
