    Description

    Supervisor:

    The Restaurant Supervisor is responsibility for all dining areas including the bar, room service, and dining room while coordinating and assisting banquet operations in various locations. The Supervisor is responsible for cleanliness and arrangement of décor to ensure that the atmosphere reflects the Hilton Garden Inn & Pyramid Hotel Group standards.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Supervise bar, room service and dining room functions in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service and compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
    • Mentor, train, coach and give feedback to staff on methods to improve service and guest satisfaction and also to adhere to all Hilton Garden Inn & Pyramid Hotel Group Standards and policy.
    • Communicate clear standards of service and process that provide the restaurant/banquet staff with the knowledge, training and tools required to exceed our guest's high expectations.
    • Motivate servers, bartenders and wait staff with creation and implementation of recognition programs, incentives and celebrations
    • Monitor performance and recommend corrective action.
    • Oversee the set-up, organization, and service of the bar and wait staff to ensure that the highest standards of quality.
    • Regular testing and education with restaurant, In-Room dining, banquet and Service staff.
    • Ensure a safe working environment for staff.
    • Ensure storage areas of maintained for ease of ordering, stocking and inventory.
    • Assist the Chef with various administrative duties.
    • Respond in a prompt and professional manner to guest request and complaints.
    • Conduct pre-shift meetings to inform staff of daily events.
    • Oversee cash handling and check /credit policies procedures.
    • Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate for this position

    1-2 years' experience in all aspects of bar/restaurant service

    • 1-2 years' experience in hospitality restaurant
    • High School Diploma
    • State of AZ Responsible Alcohol Certificate preferred
    • State of AZ Food Handlers Certification
    • Knowledge of Micros POS
