    Description

    Job Purpose  

    Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Keep all public area facilities such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, business center, front desk, portico, and AC  lounge in neat and clean conditions.

     

    Essential Functions

    • Maintain all public areas (elevators, pool deck, lobby bathrooms, and portico) clean by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
    • Keeps the front of the hotel free from trash.
    • Polishes the lobby floor during Night.
    • Keeps the Back area of Front desk neat and clean.
    • Clean and maintain light fixtures.
    • Makes sure mirrors, furniture, floors, elevators and doors are clean and mark-free.
    • Removes all trash from public and office areas.
    • Periodically checks all lobby restrooms / wash rooms.
    • Restocks all supplies including toilet paper, soap and hand towels in the public area restrooms.
    • Responds to guest requests and inquiries while in the lobby.
    • Assist guest with their questions and direct them to the areas they want to go.
    • Take care of all cleaning equipment used in lobby.

     

     

    SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

    In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

    • Perform duties of room attendant when necessary.
    • Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
    • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

    The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

    • Ability to stand and move throughout public areas continuously and perform essential job functions.
    • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to operate a handheld radio and speak with others using clear and professional language.
    • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 75 pounds without assistance.
    • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
    • Ability to assist in other areas in the housekeeping department as needed and have the ability to communicate with our internal and external guests.  

    Requirements

    Job Requirements:

     

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

     

    Experience: No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.

     

    Licenses or certificates: No special licenses required. Individuals are required to meet the minimum bonding standards.

     

    Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance

     

    Other: Applicants with additional language skills preferred. Previous experience preferred
