    Description

    Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the Food & Beverage staff to include restaurant and beach ambassadors. 

    Ensure compliance with departmental and hotel policies and procedures to deliver outstanding service to all guests.

    • High school or equivalent education required
    • At least 3 years in a supervisory role, and at least 3 years food and beverage service background in a 4 star establishment
    • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.  
    • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Must possess basic computer skills.
    • Must be able to work with P.O.S. Micros system
    • Ability to access and accurately input information, using a moderately complex computer system when applicable.
    • Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
    • Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
    • Knowledge and enforcement of all applicable liquor codes
    • Must possess basic mathematical skills and the ability to use a calculator to prepare moderately complex calculations such as determining average covers.  Strong familiarization with food and beverage financial systems and controls (e.g. capital budget, inventory control).
    • Ability to prepare complex reports (i.e., revenues generated and cover reports).
    • Ability to comprehend written product labeling to ensure safe application of products and processes within the hotel.

    Working knowledge of occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations, including, but not limited to the following statutes and their comparable local laws

     

    Requirements

    Previous supervisory experience required. 

    Must be flexible in schedule. 

    Must pass background, credit and drug screening.

    • Must be able to lift 60 lbs
    • Must be able to stand for long hours under the sun
    • Ability to distinguish product quality, taste, texture and presentation and observe preparation.
    • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
    • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
    • Must be able to work long extensive hours when needed

     

    Hourly rate is $11.00
