    Job Title:            Executive Housekeeper

    Job Summary:


    Administer, organize, direct, and coordinate all operational and management activities of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department.


    Primary Duties:


    • Directs and delegates areas of responsibilities for the cleanliness of
      guest units, public areas and operational areas.
    • Formulates and implements training and incentive programs,
      conducting review on all management and hourly personnel.
    • Attends all meetings as directed by Director of Rooms/GM and chairs weekly
      meetings with housekeeping and laundry personnel.
    • Assists in the preparation of yearly and capital budgets for the
      department and monitors all purchasing to stay within the budget.
    • Prepares and submits all purchase requisitions for supplies and equipment.
    • Monitors department payroll.
    • Coordinates with Personnel Department the initial screening of
      candidates for available positions. Processes personnel paperwork of
      personnel authorization forms, terminations, etc.
    • Conducts and oversees daily inspection of all check-ins and VIP
      rooms, and work performed by maids and housemen.
    • Conducts research and evaluation of methods, procedures, equipment,
      and supplies in order to maintain the standards of the Department.
    • Maintains consistent dialogue with Laundry Department to assure that
      quality standards are met and the appropriate quantity of linen is
    • Prepares weekly work schedule for Housekeeping, Laundry, and
      Supervisors and submits to Hotel Manager weekly.
    • Oversees the timely completion of monthly tasks such as inventory and recurring projects.
    • Coordinates and supervises services provided by outside contractors.
    • Develops, institutes, and provides continuous internal training to the Housekeeping and Laundry staff: including establishing training guidelines and materials for both internal ongoing training and new hire operations
    • Ensures delivery of superior guest service through follow-up and coordinates with all pertinent departments.
    • Develops, maintains, and updates Housekeeping and Laundry Policies and Procedures.
    • Ensures that Housekeeping and Laundry staff members adhere to grooming and uniform guidelines on a consistent basis.
    • Encourages, motivates, and monitors reception staff to consistently perform their duties in compliance with Guest Service standards.
    • Works closely with all Room Division departments and all other relative departments to ensure operational efficiency.


    • Responsible to train, coach and develop all associates to acquire the knowledge and experience to improve associates career path, if one chooses to.
    • Ensure you can provide inspiration and motivation to all associates so they can consistently be encouraged to do their job with ease and with the highest positive attitude.
    • Provide associates with the knowledge, skills, tools and supplies to successfully complete their jobs.


    Education/Skills/Work Experience Required:


    HS Diploma, previous housekeeping supervisory experience in an upscale hotel.


    Working Conditions Associated with this position:


    Indoor, outdoors environment, laundry equipment facilities, and guest accommodations.
