    Description

    Our Food & Beverage team is looking for a master of Hospitality to join our Outlets team as a Restaurant Host/Hostess and Market Cashier.

    The Restaurant Host/Hostess and Market Cashier position is expected to perform the following essential duties and tasks:

    1. Maintain a cheerful, positive attitude and appropriate conduct with both guests and teammates at all times.
    2. Provide excellent customer service through accurate and efficient transactions while adhering to all cash handling policies and procedures.
    3. Sincerely greets and welcomes Guests.
    4. Maintains a professional presence at the restaurant’s entrance at all times.
    5. Graciously manages the waiting lines and effectively and efficiently seats the Guests.
    6. Knows the script and hours/days of operation.
    7. Completes pre, running, and post shift side-work requirements.
    8. Responsible for the cleanliness of menus, entrance and podium areas.
    9. Knows all pricing, promotions and discounts that apply to pricing.
    10. Processes financial/Guest transactions in an accurate, efficient, timely manner.
    11. Genuinely thanks the Guests as they leave the restaurant.
    12. Adheres to appearance and uniform standards.
    13. Adheres to all internal controls, policies and procedures    
    14. Provide quality coffee beverages consistently for customers by adhering to all recipes and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
    15. Adhere to Starbucks® learning guides and procedures.
    16. Insure all items in the market place are fresh, up-to-date, and look appealing.
    17. Update job knowledge by participating in learning courses from Pyramid Hotel Group and Hilton.
    18. Ability to multi–task with the needs of the business and anticipate customer and marketplace needs by constantly evaluating environment.
    19. Receive marketplace deliveries, unload and organize stockroom. Restock all condiments, sundries, and food and beverage items throughout shift using FIFO method.
    20. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
    21. Exhibit a pleasant, attentive and helpful attitude at all times.
    22. Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
    23. Any additional task requested by management.

     

    Requirements

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.     Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED. 1 year of cash handling, cashier experience in a full-service hotel, similar concept is required. One-year retail and/or coffee shop experience preferred

     

    Language Skills:  Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees.

     

    Mathematical Skills: Must be able to operate cash register and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication skills to process customer transactions.

     

    Reasoning Ability: Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgements regarding serving processes.  Must be able to make reasonable judgements as it relates to cash handling processes.

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: TIPS certification preferred. 

     

    Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidate must be able to lift 35 lbs., be able to work long hours/split shifts and be able to handle stressful conditions. For this position, the employee is frequently required to reach, push, and pull to handle store inventory.  Frequently required to stand and move about the store.

    Hours:  Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, and/or overtime.  Employee must be available to work holidays and be flexible. Also, depending on the season, hours may be reduced at any time.

     

    Safety: Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with all Pyramid Hotel Group Safety rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.  The safety of our employees and the guests of this hotel is one of Pyramid’s top priorities. In addition, if you see a safety violation, it is your responsibility to report it immediately to your direct manager for correction.  Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to Corrective Counseling, up to and including termination of employment.
