    Description

     

    • The successful applicant will help cooks and chefs
    • Check and put away daily orders, ensuring the general cleaning of kitchen, and even assisting) in unexpected busy period with dishes. He/She is charged with ensuring proper organization of kitchen cleaning products, along with non food dry products (paper plates, forks, cups, napkins).
    • Dependable, flexible, attention to detail, and able to perform long hours is a definite asset.

     

    Job Tasks:

    • Put away food and non food orders
    • Wash all dishes and pots and pans
    • Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas
    • Set up employee cafeteria
    • Ensure floors are kept clean at all times
    • Notify chef of any required kitchen maintenance
    • Knowledge of cleaning products (training provided)
    • Requisition via chef any equipment we may need (mops, brooms, chemicals, etc...)
    • Polish and count plates for daily service (breakfast, lunch, dinner, restaurant banquets)
    • Assist all other stewards in the organization of pots and pans
    • Be ready at any time to assist dishwashing operation when un-expected business levels arise.
    • Must be able to lift weight from 10-50 lbs

    This position requires working a flexible schedule of day and/or evening shifts including weekends and public holidays and on call at all times. The applicant must meet the minimum requirements and must be able to speak, read, write and understand English, the primary language, which is used in the workplace.
