    The Phelps-Residence Inn Cincinnati Downtown is looking for a self-motivated Front Desk Manager. Job duties include but are not limited to…

    • Checking guests in and out of the hotel
    • Answering multiple phone lines
    • Confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room key.
    • Processing all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
    • Setting up accurate accounts for each guest upon check-in Anticipating sold-out situations and obtaining satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations.
    • Blocking rooms in the computer and identifying designated requirements and requests
    • Handling cash and ensuring that drop receipts are balanced according to Accounting specifications.
    • Assisting management in training, motivating, and coaching employees
    • Assisting with the valet department-parking and retrieving guest vehicles
    • Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; completing safety training and certifications.
    • Acting as Manager on Duty
    • Scheduling front desk agents and valet attendants according to business levels
    • Ensuring 100% customer satisfaction with all guest interactions
    • Ensuring high Marriott standards are being met
    • Ensuring that all WHG standards and expectations are being met by all associates on a daily basis
    • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others.
    • Performing other duties as deemed necessary

     

    Requirements

    Applicants must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance. Applicants must have a 2 or 4 year degree. Hotel supervisory experience is required. Applicants must have a good driving record.
