Description

We're looking for an individual with a great Yes I Can" attitude and a caring disposition to join our restaurant team as a part time host/hostess for our Red's Bar and Grill restaurant located at The Wigwam Resort.  Current availability needs are for daytime Monday-Thursday.

 

  • Responsible for greeting guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner.
  • Taking the guests to the tables, and starting the guests experience in a positive manner.
  • Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following restaurant standards.
  • Handle reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests.
  • Serve water, stock ice, refill glassware station, and continually do running side work. Greet guests by name whenever possible during the course of meal service.
  • Perform general clerical tasks including maintaining large group party information for he manager and reservation books. Open Table
  • Perform general cleaning tasks utilizing cleaning to adhere to health and safety standards.Assist servers, bartenders, food runners and bussers when necessary.Fold napkins for meal periods to maintain an adequate supply.
  • Assist in table setting and general dining room maintenance during peak periods.
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
  • 5 foot & 10 foot rule. Very important in assisting and supporting others. Within 10 feet, we as employees must smile and give eye contact to the guest. Within 5 feet of the guest we must give a sincere and welcoming greeting. Every guest is our guest; we must assist and help in all areas of the resort. Your title may not be Front Desk or Bellman. But it is our job to be that positive domino effect on employees and our guests here at the hotel. If a guest looks confused, we as employees need to be able to help and guide them in the right direction or to the correct department.

Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.  
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Knowledge of all menu items, prices and general service procedures.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.  
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to multi task.
