To greet, welcome and assist all Lytle Park Hotel guests and patrons in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.  To obtain transportation as needed and to transfer luggage to and from the main lobby.   The primary responsibilities for the Doorperson include the following but are not limited to:   - Manage front drive in - Assist guests with Valet and directions for self-parking. - Remove and secure luggage and valuables for incoming guests and direct guests to the reception area.  Assure guests that a bellman will transfer luggage to room. - Transfer all luggage from main entrance to lobby & communicate all guest information to the bell staff. - Acknowledge any approaching guest warmly and assist however needed. - Open the door for all guests and patrons entering and exiting the hotel. - Inform guests of the location of all hotel facilities including; reception and Concierge area, meeting and function areas, restaurants and lounges. - Assist guests with local area directions when asked. - Ensure prompt & professional response to all guest requests for service. - Provide assistance with transportation at guest request - Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.  - Properly maintain the Lytle Park Hotel entrance to ensure a first impress “exactly like nothing else”. - Report any unusual or unsafe situations to the attention of Security or the Manager on Duty immediately. - Complete all other assignments, duties and tasks as assigned by the Concierge, Director of Guest Services and/or Front Office Management staff.

This position is responsible for assisting each guest and outlet patron with Valet parking, and direction for self-parking.   CANDIDATE PROFILE   License Requirement: Required to have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable driving record. Ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission is preferred.   Experience: Must have at least (1) or more years of experience, with a combination of previous Guest Services experience preferred.   KEY RESPONSIBILTIES The primary responsibilities for the Valet Parker include but are not limited to: - Inspect each vehicle before taking possession and mark tickets of findings, inform customers of valet rate. - Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Manager. - Have a thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the hotel to be able to provide guest and patrons directions to various locations in the area, if needed. - Observe all traffic laws and safe driving practices. - Ensure prompt professional response to all guest requests for service. - Assist and relieve door staff and bell staff as requested and directed. - Open the door for all guests and patrons entering and exiting the hotel. - Maintaining the lobby entrance vestibule including cleaning, vacuuming, etc. as needed. - Acknowledge any approaching guest warmly and assist however needed. - Perform in a standard as well as an automatic automobile. - Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area. - Complete all other assignments, duties and tasks as assigned by the Concierge and Director of Guest Services.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS In addition to performance of key responsibilities, this position may be required to possess a combination of the following skills and experiences: - Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a team. - Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. - Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications. - Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor. - Empty the laundry chute and prepare loads for washer. - Pre-sort and separate linen by classification and transfer by lifting, carrying or transporting to work stations. - Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc. - Separate out laundry requiring mending or special stain removal. - Clean empty hampers. - Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen. - Clean up machines and surrounding areas. - Stock linen room with cleaned product. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Pyramid Hotel Groups from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Pyramid Hotel Groups rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel. This position is responsible for serving food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to hotel’s high standards of quality.   EXPERIENCE Must have at least (1) or more years of experience in Hospitality, with a combination of previous Banquets and Food & Beverage experience preferred.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of the Banquets Server at the Boston Harbor Hotel include but are not limited to:   - Set up banquet room as instructed by the Banquets Manager to include linen, service ware and glassware. - Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations. - Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner. Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Banquets Manager to ensure consistency in the order throughout the banquet. Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function. - Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction. The lobby attendant is responsible for maintaing and the upkeep of the hotel common areas and public space. The attendant must be customer service focused and enjoy the process of cleaning to maintain company standards. - Clean and maintain all corridors and public areas in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction - Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations to include but not limited to: hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc. - Remove soiled linen, terry, and trash from the service areas and take to the appropriate locations in the prescribed manner - Report any missing/found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to management - Respond to guests requests and questions, and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction - Thoroughly clean all public areas - Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures and shelves in public areas - Thoroughly clean all elevators and elevator tracks - Clean and empty trash in public areas - Respond to guest questions, providing guest assistance, directions and information as requested - Respond to all radio calls timely and follow up after all calls are completed - Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to management - Provide instruction and/or guidance for guests and associates safety in fire or other emergency situations - And any other supportive functions as determined by the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor This is a full-time position with benefits eligible after completion of 90 days. The pay is $12.00 per hour. We are looking for AM and PM availability. Shifts begin as early as 8AM and end as late as 1AM.
