JOB SUMMARY The Catering Sales Manager provides quality, value-added, professional service that meets or exceeds our guest’s expectations. The primary function of this role is to secure and develop both corporate and social events, with responsibility for maintaining existing clients and cultivating potential new events. This position is responsible for coordinating all sales and service activities generated through the direct and indirect sales solicitation of both the corporate and social catering markets.   CANDIDATE PROFILE Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably specializing in Hospitality, Sales or equivalent experience is required.   Experience: Must have at least two (2) or more years of strong Catering Sales experience, with previous experience in a luxury environment preferred, or other related/equivalent field may be considered.  Previous experience in the Wedding and Social Market highly preferred.   CMP Certification preferred.   KEY RESPONSIBILTIES The primary responsibilities for the Catering Sales Manager include but are not limited to: - Ability to be fully functional when working remotely, respond to all leads, Sales Force access, Sertifi, contracts, proposals and event orders, etc. - Responsible for booking corporate & social catering events at prevailing menu pricing, while working with the client to ensure all requirements and expectations from beginning to end are fulfilled. - Ability to step up and run banquet events if and when needed. - Perform administrative duties alongside Director of Catering with absence of Catering Coordinator, including but not limited to the following:  Walk Event Orders, BEO distribution, 15 day report, door signs, menu cards, etc. - Profitability will be maximized by insisting on maximum yield of function space, by accurate forecasting, by proper menu pricing, and by monitoring expenses. - Ensure the maximization of departmental profitability by ensuring proper menu pricing, accurate billing, efficient delivery and following all approved credit policies and procedures. - Produce accurate forecasts of all departmental revenues and expenses. - Ensure the proper care and maintenance of the physical space to protect the assets of the hotel. - Be an active contributor through suggestions and actions to the overall success of the Boston Harbor Hotel. - Ensure excellent communication between all departments throughout the hotel regarding all events and detail any requirements of services to be provided by other hotel departments. - Attend events in a professional capacity to represent the Boston Harbor Hotel as it becomes necessary. - Work closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure and maintain levels of service, monitor scheduling of banquet team members while controlling payroll expenses without affecting guest satisfaction and service. - Work closely with Executive Chef in preparing menus for corporate and social functions. These menus need to be competitive to the area, unique, and maintain proper food cost. - Work closely with Food & Beverage Manager in determining banquet bar packages and wine lists that will maintain proper beverage costs. - Work closely with Convention Services Manager to ensure proper use of function space, menu pricing, etc. to maximize revenues. - Budgeting and forecasting food and beverage, room rental, and audio visual revenues for current month, 3 month, current end of year, and next year. - Responsible for meeting expected revenues by booking business from corporate groups which have 0 to 9 sleeping rooms per night and will utilize function space.

BOSTON HARBOR HOTEL POSITION DESCRIPTION   JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a committed, Hospitality professional for the position of Overnight Butler at the Boston Harbor Hotel. This position is responsible for offering support through all aspects of Guest Services, including but not limited to greeting and welcoming guests and patrons in a courteous, professional and efficient manner while assisting with the transportation of luggage from the reception area to the guest rooms and vice versa. The Overnight Butler will also assist with Valet Services as needed. CANDIDATE PROFILE: Experience: Must have at least (1) or more years of experience, with a combination of previous Guest Services experience in a Luxury Environment preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of the Overnight Butler include but are not limited to: - Must be able to work overnight shifts (11pm to 7:30am).   - Secure luggage from all incoming guests upon check in; obtain room key and escort guest to room. - Place luggage in respective areas in guestroom, i.e. on luggage rack, in closet etc. - Assist all departing guests with luggage transport from guestroom to front entrance. - Familiarize all guests with room amenities including temperature control unit, remote controlled television, mini bar, etc. - Inform guests of all hotel facilities including the hours of operation of the restaurants, lounges, Health Club & Spa, and Gift Shop. - Ensure prompt professional response to all guest requests for service. - Store and retrieve luggage from bell closet as needed while regularly logging such activity. - Deliver all messages and mail to in house guests in a timely manner. - Maintain accurate log of all pressing, shoe shines and requests carried out during the shift. - Deliver any miscellaneous items i.e. flowers, packages, brochures, newspapers etc. to guestrooms, Banquet Rooms or hotel offices as directed. - Assist the Front Desk in delivering quick and efficient service to hotel guests. - Assist guests with directions and other information as needed. BOSTON HARBOR HOTEL POSITION DESCRIPTION   JOB SUMMARY The Reservations Agent will offer support through all aspects of guest reservations, including but not limited to, reservation calls, email inquiries, internal request forms, upselling guest suites and assembly of guest packages. Reservations agent will be responsible for assisting Reservations Manager and Coordinator in day to day tasks such as reports, rooming lists, and filing. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably specializing in Hospitality, Business Administration, and or related major or equivalent experience is preferred.   Experience: Must have at least two (2) or more years of related guest experience, with experience in Hospitality preferred.   KEY RESPONSIBILTIES: The primary responsibilities for the Reservations Agent include but are not limited to: - Correspond with guests, clients and travel agents to answer special requests for rooms and rates. - Process telephone reservations and operates computer terminals and printers to store and receive reservation data. - Verify duties and examine work for accuracy, detail, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. - Prepare reports for use by the hotel staff. - Address guest complaints with appropriate personnel. - Process guaranteed deposits. - Research travel agent commissions and requests. - Generate guest confirmations. - Ensure computer systems and related interfaces are working properly. - File all necessary paperwork in proper location - Answer all incoming reservation calls in a timely manner while projecting a professional, courteous and enthusiastic attitude using Forbes 5 Star standards. - Achieve complete familiarity with all hotel facilities and services and promote these facilities whenever possible. - Process all in‑house reservation requests and information including VIP forms, and sales bookings. - Update knowledge and information regarding rates, special packages, group bookings, corporate club members, etc. - Previous understanding of the reservation system procedure. - Must be able to balance working a computer and telephone in an accurate and efficient manner. - Attempt to up sell whenever possible as long as the best interests of the guest(s) are protected. - Complete all other assignments, duties and tasks as assigned by the Reservations Manager.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS In addition to performance of key responsibilities, this position may be required to possess a combination of the following skills and experiences: - Experience in property management software, such as OPERA, or Delphi is preferred. - Strong organizational and analytical skills, along with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment. - Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a team. - Ability to exercise sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources. - Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. - Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
