This position is responsible for the ordering, receiving, storing and issuing of goods while maximizing profitability. The Purchasing Manager will oversee all distribution of hotel inventories and supplies, while working closely with various departments in sourcing products, supplies and materials as well as managing inventory controls to meet department’s needs.  CANDIDATE PROFILE  Education:  Bachelor’s degree, preferably specializing in Business Administration and/or equivalent experience is required.    Experience:  Must have at least two (2) or more years of purchasing experience in a hospitality environment, with previous experience in a luxury environment preferred. Other related/equivalent experience may be considered.    KEY RESPONSIBILTIES  The primary responsibilities for the Purchasing Manager will include but are not limited to:   - Manage the day-to-day activities and assignments of the Storeroom Team.   - Provide an organized method to ensure efficient product flow.   - Maintain a well-organized, easily inventoried storeroom with agreed upon par levels to ensure efficient operations.   - Ensure the Receiving Clerk maintains accurate detailed records of all deliveries through direct supervision and approval of all daily logs.   - Ensure the Receiving Clerk approves the quality of product, especially perishable items, as the items enter, while ensuring produce is dated and rotated.   - Work closely with Food and Beverage control to ensure all cost factors are under scrutiny, such as receiving logs, meat tag system, inventory accuracy, inventory turnover, and product rotation.   - Alert Chef when pricing changes occur or product specifications become a problem.   - Ensure the accuracy of perpetual beverage inventories and maintain proper par levels.   - Directly supervise inventory levels of dry goods through the coordination with the Storeroom Attendant and Chef.   - Responsible for maintaining accurate inventories daily and month end, by active participation and supervision.   - Identify slow moving stock, and report to food and beverage control.   - Effectively schedule staff to ensure maximum efficiencies of excellent service/low labor cost.   - Anticipate needs through forecasting, utilizing Banquet menus, Occupancy forecasts and Department Head meetings.   - Comply with all Safety Standards.

It is a very important outlet for the hotel and is much loved by guests and locals alike. The summer months see a significant expansion in business as we embrace our waterfront location and add seating, bars, and entertainment to the Harborwalk immediately outside the restaurant.   In the winter of 2022/2023, the hotel plans to reimagine the space and introduce a new restaurant to replace the Sea Grille. The planning and design phase of the project is already under way, and applicants with experience in launching a vibrant new restaurant will be prioritized.   JOB SUMMARY The Restaurant General Manager will oversee the flawless execution of superior service, interview, hire and train all staff, and ensure all company policies and standards are met while exceeding guest expectations. Responsibilities encompass visiting tables to ensure guest satisfaction, maintaining all beverage sales, inventories and costs, developing positive relationships with community organizations and promoting the growth of Restaurant Manager, Supervisors and staff personnel. BOSTON HARBOR HOTEL POSITION DESCRIPTION   JOB SUMMARY The Group Rooms Coordinator will offer support through all aspects of guest reservations including but not limited to, reservation calls, email inquiries, internal request forms, assembly of guest packages, group rooming lists, and group changes. This position will be responsible for assisting the Reservations Manager in day to day tasks such as reports, rooming lists, filing, supervision of Reservations Agents, and daily checklist for the Reservations Agents. Ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission is preferred.   Experience: Must have at least (1) or more years of experience, with a combination of previous Guest Services experience preferred.   KEY RESPONSIBILTIES The primary responsibilities for the Valet Parker include but are not limited to: - Inspect each vehicle before taking possession and mark tickets of findings, inform customers of valet rate. - Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Manager. - Have a thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the hotel to be able to provide guest and patrons directions to various locations in the area, if needed. - Observe all traffic laws and safe driving practices. - Ensure prompt professional response to all guest requests for service. - Assist and relieve door staff and bell staff as requested and directed. - Open the door for all guests and patrons entering and exiting the hotel. - Maintaining the lobby entrance vestibule including cleaning, vacuuming, etc. as needed. - Acknowledge any approaching guest warmly and assist however needed. - Perform in a standard as well as an automatic automobile. - Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area. - Complete all other assignments, duties and tasks as assigned by the Concierge and Director of Guest Services.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS In addition to performance of key responsibilities, this position may be required to possess a combination of the following skills and experiences: - Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a team. - Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. - Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
