This position will also monitor and lead the process of payroll data, and issue weekly checks in accordance with company, state and federal guidelines.   CANDIDATE PROFILE Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably specializing in Accounting, Business Administration and or equivalent experience is required.   Experience: Must have at least four (4) or more years of strong accounting experience. Previous experience in a Hospitality environment preferred, or other, related/equivalent field may be considered.   KEY RESPONSIBILTIES The primary responsibilities for the Accounting Supervisor will include but are not limited to:   - Audit of Daily Control reports, ensuring accuracy and make corrections if needed. - Audit of the promo checks for accuracy, make corrections and communicate with Managers. - Balance and audit for accuracy, all Hotel revenues. - Audit revenue posting accuracy of all Banquet and Catering functions. - Ensure accuracy of daily revenue posting to the accounting system. - Reconcile occupancy and sales tax on a daily basis, and verify that all tax exemptions have the proper documentation. - Reconcile credit card transactions daily. - Audit and process weekly time reports generated by all employees. - Timely and accurate processing, delivery and reconciliation of weekly payroll. - Process and verify additions and changes to the weekly payroll. - Coordinate and process off-cycle payrolls and payments. - Liaise with the hotel Managers and Human Resource to resolve discrepancies. - Prepare and distribute reports for internal purposes. - Maintain storage and filing systems to ensure confidential record retention for hotel. - Assist the Controller and Assistant Controller with month-end procedures. - Complete other duties as assigned by the Controller or Assistant Controller.           JOB QUALIFICATIONS In addition to performance of key responsibilities and supportive functions, this position may be required to possess a combination of the following skills and experiences:   - Strong organizational and analytical skills, along with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment. - Demonstrated ability to work with maximum efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail. - Ability to work cohesively as part of a team. - Ability to exercise sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources. - Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. - Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing. The Reservations Sales Agent plays a vital part in the guest experience and will be responsible for assisting the Reservations Manager and Coordinator in day-to-day tasks such as answering calls and email inquiries, daily and monthly reporting, detailing group rooming lists, and listening to our guest needs.   KEY RESPONSIBILTIES: The primary responsibilities for the Reservations Sales Agent include but are not limited to: - Answer incoming reservation calls using hotel standards with a professional, courteous and enthusiastic attitude. - Achieve complete familiarity with all hotel facilities and services to assist guests’ needs. - Correspond with guests, clients, and travel agents to answer special requests for rooms and rates. - Process all in‑house reservation requests such as VIPs and sales bookings. - Ambitiously market hotel rooms in order to maximize revenue using up-selling and yield management techniques. - Become familiar with local surroundings to answer, respond and communicate with guests regarding questions and requests. - Consistently learn and update knowledge of rates, special packages, group bookings, corporate rates, etc. - Verify duties and examine work for accuracy, detail, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. - Prepare reports for use by the hotel staff that assist in detailing guest reservations and needs. - Address guest complaints and recover with appropriate personnel. - Process payments and guaranteed deposits. - Research travel agent commissions and requests. - Generate guest confirmation emails. - Complete all other assignments, duties and tasks as assigned by the Reservations Manager.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS In addition to performance of key responsibilities, this position may be required to possess a combination of the following skills and experiences: - High school diploma or equivalent is required - Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal/written communication skills required - Strong organizational and analytical skills, along with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and thoughtful work environment. - Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a team. - Ability to exercise sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources. - Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. - Due to the nature of our business, schedule flexibility is required.   The Boston Harbor Hotel is an equal opportunity employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
